Phase 2

Well the first phase is over, and honestly I feel like I slacked off at teh end of phase one. Due to moving and painting, and I do not feel like I gave the workouts 210 percent.
But now I am hiting phase 2 and I am doing it with a vengenace. I have decided to CUT out the protien shakes (at least minimize them) cause I find my protein intake was too much, as I feel thicker in certain body parts!
I also received a cloth measuring tape from mom, so I measured all of my body parts, so i can really hold myself accountable for metrics.

Day one of phase 2, kicked my butt. Arm, tri's and Shoulders (talk about a tough workout)

The great news is that I am up to 4 chin ups and I could not even do 1 before I started this (except of course when I was in the army!)

Stay tuned for major changes!

However, yesterdays, plyometrics were alittle easier to do. Today was arms and chest, I feel like I am improving, especially on my form, I feel my endurance is picking up, and also, I find myself breathing easier.

Did I mention that I know sleep great!!!???

Also did abs today, and some great stretches!

Keep pressing play!! It's only an hour.

The curveball called life.

Sweet chin up bars, and stretch bands.. This week has been crazy, absolutely crazy... I have been moving and lifting some pretty heavy things, and have been incredibly sore to work out. I did however get the Chest and Back exercises done this week, and the plyometrics done, I even did the Yoga. I missed TWO DAYS, which I am sad about but I could not help it, at all, there really wasn't any time in the week. So I have decided the I will add this Two days on to the end, I need to complete a 90 day program, and I will do it.
Next week I am hiting the routine and diet HARD so LOOK OUT!!!

Also I would like to welcome the new additions to my family.. the chin up bar, and the Yoga Mat!

P.S Twila I am not trying to lose weight, just get fit, however the weight is a benefit.

Well today was day 1 of week 2, and today was by far the hardest day for me yet.. My abs were burning with ever pushup, almost a rip type feel. But I pushed myself where I could.

So I did my first weigh in today and (drum roll please) 142.4, that is 2.6 pounds GONE!

Pat on the back and carry on!

Completion of week 1

Well today was rest day or stretch day, and I chose to stretch cause my body is sa-ore!!!
I will have to step on the scale at some point today and get back to you all, to see if I have budged on the 145!

I feel great about this week. I have had more energy, slept better, ate better, and even got up early feelinf refreshed.

This next week I am going to try to push myself MORE then I did last week!!

Day Numero 6

Well folks I have complete my day 6 workout. Today's workout consisted of Kenpo. If you are uncertain of what Kenpo is, it is a cardio workout, that involves a series of punches, kicks and blocks... and if I must say so myself a calorie burning heart rate, as well as ALOT of sweat.

My abs are still tender and sore, but that does not stop me!

I am looking forward to tomorow to finish my week 1.....

Just keep pressing play........

Day 5

Today was Legs and Back. I now have weights and resistance bands!! Today I could feel the burn bad in my legs, like really bad. But just to know that I made it to day 5 makes it worth it to me.

Then 15 on my sore abs, once again.

And I have completed day 5!!!

The journey begins.

For those of you who do not know me, I am a 28 year old female going to school to be a carpenter. Recently I have heard of a work out program P90X. This workout is really demanding, and appearently produces amazing results, if you stay dedicated, focused, and put in amazing effort.

I remember about 5 years ago during my time in the army, being in amazing shape, strong legs, flat stomache, toned arms. Then life just sort of happened, the running everyday, and working out stopped, the fast food was become more frequent then not.

Before day one of P90X I weighed 145 pounds standing 5' 5", with lungs that could not even run a block without burning. (being an ex smoker an all)

DAY 1

I could not wait to get all my supplies to start P90X I had the motivation and determination to start THAT DAY.. With no Weight and NO chin up bar. I completed the Chest and Back exercise covered in sweat and gasping for air. All the while tensing my muscles to make up for the weights I did not have.
Day 1 had almost killed me! (not for real, but it felt like it :)
An addition 15 minutes of AB ripper X took place 349 exercises done to the abs (OUCH)

Day 2

Woke up aching. Today was Plyometrics! Who would have thought it took that much energy to jump around. I was sweating before the warm up even ended. At the 45 minute mark of the work out, I felt I had to stop. Then I remembered this is an EXTREME workout. I am SUPPOSE to bring an EXTREME ATTITUDE! So I suffered it out.
DAY 2 had KILLED ME!

DAY 3

Body status SORE!
Sholders and ARms!! AGain I do not have weights, I do not get them til the weekend, so I did all the exercise in muscle tension mode. These exercise burned, my body was still sore from the Mondays workout. But it felt good to know I was staying dedicated.

When it cam to ab Ripper X time, I was scared, my abs were still very very sore from MOnday. But I suffered it out, and did the best I could, plus 100% more.

Day 4
All day at school was excited to get home. It was YOGA DAY! HOw hard could it be. Motivated by the fact that I was staying motivated. I had started sleeping better at nights, and waking up early in the mornign refreshed, and invigorated.

URGGGH, YOGA for 90 minutes, all the stretching and pulling, this was not easy AT ALL. My body was coated with a layer of sweat, but the stretches felt so good, on my sore muscles. I pushed every movement to gain that extra bit of flexibility. This was a very calming experience, and relaxing, but working my body good.
P.S NOT EASY.

So today is DAY 5, I will write a new entry after I do my workout. I will be using rubber bands today. (Rubber bands are tension bands that are used in replace as weights, and work just as well)
